Hello docs,

This is my first time experiencing an external Haemorrhoid and it happened a couple of days ago. When I wake up in the morning it is usually not an issue for me as I do not feel any pain at all.
However, after performing a couple sets of squats, the haemorrhoid swelled up and it is affecting my daily life - I am having hard time walking/standing/sitting due to pain. I would really like to continue to squat but I am afraid of making it worse. Otherwise, should I replace squat with other leg exercises until I am fully recovered from it?
On a site note, I purchased a haemorrhoid ointment from the chemist yesterday Lidocaine 5% w/w and Hydrocortisone 0.5% w/w. I am also taking paracetamol for pain relief. However even with these medications, the awful pain is still there.
What do?
Kind regards,
Nick
