Does flexibility play a role in the performance of any lift? I understand the proper ways to warm up because i’ve ran a few of the programs and currently I’m running the powerlifting one. If i became more flexible, could i possibly see greater results (strength, and hypertrophy) or does flexibility have no effect on my lifts?
Probably not, assuming you’re currently able to perform the lifts through the normal range of motion.
i agree with Austin 100%, especially for powerlifting movements.
my poor flexibility does keep me from taking advantage of some weightlifting and crossfit movements that are popular accessory exercises. when they were in my program, i tried to front squat for a couple weeks. I finally gave up and got a SSB bar. I didn’t have the patience to build enough flexibility in my arms/wrists to ever hold any real weight in the front squat position. I am not flexible enough to perform a below-parallel squat while holding the bar overhead with a snatch grip. another example is that I can’t currently do a pistol squat without holding on to something.

more flexibility can = more variety

more flexibility can = more variety. and it could be argued that more variety could improve results (keeping in mind that strength is specific)
