Ganglion cyst on top of the AC joint in the shoulder. Surgery might be needed

Hey everyone I am having a dilemma on what to do. I have a rather large ganglion cyst sticking out of my ac joint in my right shoulder. To pinpoint, it is where the bottom of my trap meets the top of the shoulder. Anyways it gives me some issues pain wise as it is a big cyst in a small condensed area. Got it aspirated (drained) and it came back in two days, so the doctor suggested a surgery. But I am afraid of getting a surgery because people usually aren’t the same again and I afraid that I will be far worse off after the surgery than I am now. I’m not that bad right now, but overhead movements are limited, and laying on that shoulder gives a bit of an issue too. The question is, is it worth getting the surgery to take the sac out? He said 3-4 weeks recovery time and I am just afraid that it’s gonna be fucked up after and stop me from being able to lift like I want. Thoughts on the matter?

I’m cyst prone an this is an uncommon spot for it but I gotta figure out my best course of action

What surgery is the physician proposing to do? Typically procedures like this for cyst removal are pretty low risk and you shouldn’t have much post operative limitations.

Well I guess it doesn’t matter now, I found out the surgery is 1 grand out of pocket, so I’m gonna try to deal with it another way. Perhaps natural remedies may work instead of just surgery.

Yeah, that seems a little pricey. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
