grip problem

Hi dr. Feigenbaum and Dr Baraki,
I am writing to ask for advice on my deadlift. I noticed that when I lift more than 120 kg, my grip weakens and I cannot complete the movement. This prevents me from progressing and increasing the load. For now, I am using bands to support my grip, but I don’t know if it is the best solution. With bands I can lift 140kg for 4 reps.
Are there other options I can try to improve my grip and deadlift?
I tried Hook grip and it was extremely painful.

Tl;dr: I think it’s worthwhile to develop grip strength over time using a variety of exercises. Using straps periodically can be useful for training too
