Guidance on equipment purchase

Hey Jordan,

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you’re well.

I’m reaching out with hopes you’ll be able to nudge me in one direction or another. I’m a tall, long femur’d lifter with a somewhat bare-bones home gym, so I’ve found it difficult to implement a training method that provides a sufficient quad stimulus without introducing secondary factors that prevent me from hitting quad specific failure or fatigue (eg: HBBS and core/back, Split Squats and balance).

I’m trying to decide between a belt squat rack attachment (Revolt one to be specific), or a safety squat bar, and was wondering if you had a preference given my situation. My primary goals with this type of training would be quad growth as well as addressing weakness as quads are always the limiting factor in my squat.

Thanks so much for your time,

Kevin

I’d get a SSB all day everyday over a belt squat rack attachment for this purpose. I just think there are more options, e.g. SSB front squat (flipped around), SSB squats, hatfield squats, hatfield split squats, good mornings, etc.
