I have been having a continuous problem with tightness on my right posterior chain every time I deadlift. I also feel the tightness a little when I squat. The tightness has been getting worse lately and I’m worried I’m going to injure myself and not be able to train. I am considering going to see a PT for the issue but I thought I was start here, maybe it’s just something simple I’m doing wrong. I typically complete three to four warm up sets before deadlifting. I also row for about 5min prior to lifting in general. I’ve been lifting for about 2.5 years and this tightness has been going on for about 6-8 months. my wife says she thinks my hips are not even, but what does that mean. Should I be warming up more? why would it just be one side? I have noticed after a couple of heavy sets it feels better. I also stretch for about ten minutes after every workout. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated even if it’s go see a PT. Thanks
Hey @mhues ,
I would recommend starting here for an overview on our general approach to managing these types of issues in training.
If the issue persists and you would like more individualized guidance, we do offer remote consultations and rehab programming where we can dive deeper into your training history, your goals, and come up with a more specific game plan on how to move forward. Here is the intake form
Hope that helps,
