Hi all I’ve been noticing that when I eat rice for dinner (~350 calories or 100gr) I’m heavier the day after (almost 2lb) even tough I eat the same roughly the same calories and macros, anyone does it know why this happens? Does rice absorb more water than other starches? Thanks.
Carbs are replenishing your glycogen levels. Each gram of glycogen is associated with about 3 to 4 grams of water…so yes. If you are eating a more carb heavy meal at night, you’ll probably store more of the water you drink at night.
Did you weigh yourself before going to the bathroom? You may just have to pee lol
I think I know why, it’s that in my dinner I used a lot of soy sauce so the heavy weigh-in I’ll say it’s because sodium intake, because normally I take roughly the same carbs at dinner, just from different sources like bagels, pasta, etc. So I thought rice could affect different my bodyweight lol.
thabks anyway
