I’m 46 and overweight, lift regularly and am planning on starting the novice LP in a few weeks. I wanted to get your thoughts on heavy lifting in my situation. My hx over two years: hip resurfacing that failed, was revised to a total hip, post-surgical staph infection that was treated, second revision, another infection, third successful revision.
5 years post third revision I’m currently high-bar squatting 315 for 1x5 stopping just above parallel, deadlift 285 for 5x5 from the floor.
Is the program something I should be doing?
