How do you warm up when there is no top single@8/9?

I know in The Bridge outline and in other posts I have seen the BBM crew suggest warming up in the prescribed rep range for the the exercise. For example, ramping sets of 5 all the way up until the first set of 5@6. I’m not sure if I’m missing a post or an article that may have some detailed suggestions on how to apply this. How big of of weight jumps do you all tend to make on your way up to the first prescribed set?

Here is an example of how I have been doing it:

warm up for projected first set around 405x4@6
135x4
225x4
315x4
365x4
385x4
405x4@6

I’d probably drop the 385x4 if 405x4 is an @6 if I were in your shoes, and I’d maybe repeat 135 if this was a deadlift (or empty bar a few times for squats), otherwise looks like a fine warmup to me

I find a good way that works with any weight or rep range is to subtract the bar weight from your goal set and divide by 5 then start with the bar and add that weight each time for 5 warm up sets / the first three to four sets are quick and the last one usually need 2min rest
