How to start squatting normally again (as opposed to only pause squats)

Hello Doctors,

I was wondering if there was a method to slowly work back to normal squats after a long period of only doing paused squats. I started doing strictly paused squats after injuring my groin a long while back and wanted to make sure that I didn’t somehow aggravate it trying to squat normally again too quickly.

One option would be to do tempo squats without a pause in the bottom (e.g., 3-0-3 → 3-0-0 → normal) to control the loading at first.
