I started a topic about my finger injury and it wasn’t approved. Maybe because I asked if I should see a doctor. I get it, I forgot, sorry. I saw a guy post a video after some surgery on his arm on the SS site and he was deadlifting using a strap over his shoulders and I saw a vid of Larry Wheels doing the same thing. I have tried a few sessions and while a little uncomfy on the neck if I don’t get the spot just right, so far so good. Do you think this is a viable work around for a 60 year old guy training for about two and a half years? It is different, feel it more in the legs.
It’s likely fine if that’s what you can do in the interim. Heal up quickly!

It’s getting better, about three weeks out from injury and I pulled 215 X 6 with a strap on that hand. 150 pounds lighter than I would be pulling but WAYGTDNT? I’m not doing much more than that with the barbell strap because it is a little awkward and I don’t have a trick strap with metal rings to go around the bar like Larry had. I will probably shit-can the idea after another week and just start back up with DOH grip as the pain allows. Thanks for the response.
I am actually happy with myself for not giving in to my inherent laziness and using it as an excuse.
