Hi, guys! I am 20yo, 6’6" and 205lbs. I’ve been in some sports when I was a kid. I was a swimmer, I played tennis, also I did some boxing and kickboxing. After that, in 2016 I began to lift weights. I fell in love with this type of sport. In june 2017 I did some deadlifts and at the last rep I felt a slight pop in my spine. It did not cause pain at all, just a slight tightness feeling. After that, one month later I tried to do some squats. I loaded the bar and I began to squat. At the 4th rep I felt a sharp shooting pain in my lower back which was radiating on the back of my right leg. I went to the Doc, and he said “Oh, squats and deadlifts are bad for your back. Never do them again if you want to not end up in a wheel-chair”. (At that moment I already had my research done, and I knew that he was wrong, but now I realise that my form was crap at both movements). Anyways, he gave me some NSAID’s and I decided to get a brake for one month. Pain eased just a bit after one month. (Also, that month I had one more flare up when I tried to bend myself to put my socks on, and I realised that my knees began to hurt a bit). I returned into the gym and tried to practice deadlifts and squats with perfect form. The pain was alleviated 100% in just 3 weeks. This happened in 2017. Fast forward until october 2019, when I stopped to go to the gym because I was preparing to take an exam to become a student at the Police Academy. I graduated the exam and now I am a student at the Police Academy. The problem is that now I feel kinda “rusted”. My spine pops&clicks (these sounds are not painful) but my muscles around my lower back hurt, especially on the right side, somewhere just above my hip crest. My knees are also sore, they are noisy, too (pops and clicks are not painful). I observed that if I stay on the left leg with my knee bent and try to twist myself to the right, I feel a pop in the medial side of my left knee (it’s also not painful, but I suspect a meniscus tear, even if I do not remember to suffer a trauma, or have my knee swollen or red, or even tender to the touch EVER.) My hips are kinda achy and clicky, too. The pain upsets me and do not let me live my life because I always think that it is there.Am I “doomed” somehow? How can I rehab all of these? Now, I am home in quarantine (because of COVID-19) and I have not acces to a gym, until 15 may. We have a gym at the Police Academy, but there is a “test” to have access there. You need to be able to do 50 push-ups, so they can let u train in the gym (it seems bullshit to me). Any ideas to rehab at home even if I have no equipament? Sorry for the long story, but I wanted to give u a background of my situation so you can help me, somehow. I forgot to say that I did not got checked out any of these problems. Have an awesome day!
