I seem to have developed quadriceps tendinitis. It came on gradually over the course of about two weeks and I continued to squat through it over those couple weeks and now it is very painful when I squat at or below parallel. The pain is in the lower portion of the quad right above the knee cap.
I can still deadlift just fine. Walking feels normal too. But squatting or getting out of a chair sends sharp pain to the quad area right above the knee cap.
will the knee rehab template be appropriate for this issue? If it is, does it program upper body for you as well?
Hey @Throneof - sorry to hear about your situation. The template would likely be beneficial in this scenario. We have slots available for plugging in upper body exercises of your choice.
Sorry to hear that! Did you manage to get it recovered?
I’ve developed what sounds like the exact same thing, generally fine, deadlifts are fine but standing up / squatting anywhere close to parallel gives me pain in both knees, also going up and down stairs I can feel pain.
At first I warmed up light and after a few sets of that there was no pain and I’d continue the session but later that day and into the next I would develop the pain.
I’ve just started training again over the last 6 weeks seriously for the first time in around 7 years and started run SL 5x5.
