Lab results

Hey docs,

First let me say that I’m not necessarily looking for medical advice. Had my routine physical which went fine but my lab results show a few items outside of the normal ranges. I’m posing my question here because I’m not sure my doctor would full understand the impact of strength training/supplementation, to the extent there are any. I’m 48 years old, 208lbs with a 39" waist. Currently eating 3k calories per day targeting 215g protein, 366g carbs and 75g fat. I plan on cutting soon to get my waist size lower.

Been lifing for ~3 years, just started the low fatigue template (week 2) and am incorporating the recommended GPP after not doing anything outside of strength for the past couple of years. I take 5mg Creatine daily and a pre-workout 3x per week that contains 6g L-Citruiline, 2g Malic acid, 3g L-Tyrosine, 200mg Caffeine and 200mg L- Theanine.

My lab results show total protein low at 5.9, A/G ratio high at 3.2 and total globulin low at 1.4 - these were after 14 hour a fast. Waiting for my doctor to call and am just wondering if the supplements I’m taking or the regular strength training I’m doing would have any material impact on these results that I should discuss when my dr calls.

Thanks

This finding is really difficult to interpret in isolation, but in general this finding would not raise significant concern in a generally healthy person, nor would I expect that your training or supplements are impacting it.

@Austin_Baraki thank you sir!
