Hi, I’ve just started the Powerbuilding I programme and today was my 1ct bench day. For a while now (1 year+), I have been experiencing pain towards the front of my left shoulder during and after benching. I moved away from bench pressing for a few months, favouring machine chest press instead. The pain was considerably lower during this time, but when going back to bench press for today’s session, the pain cropped up again from the 2nd set onwards. It almost feels like my left shoulder joint is somehow weaker than my right, and it feels less stable when in lockout on bench.
Have you had any experience with this kind of issue/can you suggest anything I can do myself before seeing a doctor?
