I’ve done Bro Splits (which I regret to this day) and a PHUL program for almost a year and it’s going nowhere (Strength wise).
my current lifts are as follows:
SQ: 4x5x155 lbs
DL: 4x5x185 lbs (with some sort of form breakdown at the last half of the sets)
BP: 4x5x135 lbs
Watching your podcasts have been very helpful and made me realize to prioritize strength and do all the volume later so I’m planning to start SSLP but the problem is I don’t know where to start.
queries:
- At what weight should I start ? / Atleast the determinants to know what weight should I start with.
- Do I progress my DLs as fast as the phase 1 of SSLP or should I start with phase 2 for the volume of the deadlifts?
- I’ve been practicing my chin ups for the past 3 months, should I incorporate chin ups on SSLP early on?
