Lifting intuitively

Hello, I have been running your programs for quite some time.

I recently repeated the beginner program (had a 3 month layoff from lifting), then did another program (someone elses), ran powerlifting 2 to completion and am currently on week 4 day 4 of powerbuilding 2.

My question is, I am experiencing a decent amount of fatigue. Because of my job, I am underslept and not recovering as well. I have had to reduce the weight about 5% based off of my target weights from the previous weeks session on almost every exercise this week.

Should I do next week as planned or skip right to the week 6 deload? I am trying to use the programs now and be intuitive about my recovery and how I feel so I think I need to back off a little due to the fatigue accumulating.

I think that a reduction in load of 5% is not something that I’d modify the program about. I think you have an equal chance of having a PR week next week or having a similar performance to this week. Let’s see what happens! The deload week will still be waiting for you :slight_smile:
