Hello Docs.
I brought this up on the Facebook page but thought I’d get your input. Due to for unfortunate events i think I’m only going to be able to lift weights Saturday and Sunday. But I’m doing the Strongman Template which is 4 days. Here are the options in considering

Days 1 & 2 one weekend. Days 3 & 4 the next. Leaving two weeks between lifts.

trimming down to the favorite lifts. One day Squat, dead, press. One day implements, farmers carry, dumbbell press, stone over bar.

Maybe able to do just 2 lifts a day every day.
Can at least 30min liss mon-fri
Not competing just trying to maintain and possibly get stronger until my life gets back to normal.

Thanks for the post. Definitely been there on the time restriction so I feel your pain. I’ll propose 3 options for you:
- You can do days 1 and 2 one week and days 3 and 4 another week. That’s fine
- You could build a 2-day template where you pick a squat, hinge, push and row pattern for each day, + some conditioning. I’d look towards 2 more fatiguing lifts, e.g. greater ROM, higher load, more muscle mass being used, etc… I’d pair that with 2 lower fatiguing lifts, e.g. machines, isolation, lighter weight exercises, etc. I would probably not do any conditioning implement work in this setup.
- Train 1-2 lifts - pairing a more fatiguing lift with a less fatiguing one + conditioning or implement work each day. If this is going to last for < 2 months, I don’t really think it’s going to matter what approach that you choose. If it’s longer-term, I would want to put more thought into this and come up with a more detailed approach.

Thank you for the input. I am hoping it will be less than 2 months. However, I am also considering changing my priorities. As much as I love training it has been causing some issues at home with time I dedicate to it. Some people think it’s too much. And though I want to, I will likely never compete. But I want to remain healthy and at least hit the guidelines if possible. I saw you comment on facebook about an upcoming 2-day template. Will that be for meeting the guidelines?
Yea, I hear you on that. While humans are definitely meant to be highly active, that doesn’t really jibe with most lifestyles.
The 2-day template I’m working on is designed to meet the guidelines, yes!
