Logging Training

Hey guys,

How do you guys log your training while in the gym? I’m especially interested to hear from others who use the excel templates from the shop. I usually use an app but i have to plug in my goal numbers everytime before i enter the gym which is sort of a pain. The other bummer about the app is that you can’t set RPE goals.

I just write my workout on a note on my iPhone and refer to it in the gym. When I get home I write my workout down in a word document and here on my training log.

I use the excel templates from the shop. I just have them opened up on my phone and log directly into the sheets while I’m training. I see alot of people complaining about using the sheets on mobile, not sure why, guess I’m just used to the tiny screen.

I don’t know, the excel app for iOS is slow as shit if you need to scroll to the bottom of a worksheet, buts only sort of a minor annoyance. I just hate looking at my phone while i’m in the gym.

Oddly enough my training log is one of the few things i only like in pen and paper form. It’s also cool to see it build over time

I use Fitnotes at the gym and then transcribe everything into RTS’ TRAC when i go home.
