Low protein intake & performance

If we eat a very low amount of protein for a day, like 0.2-0.5 grams per pound, could that have a negative effect on our performance in the short term?

As a powerlifter who was used to slamming all kinds of food all day, I’m having a hard time developing good nutrition habits and every once in a while I will spend the majority of my day eating junk. I’m working on fixing that for the long term gainzz and health, but could negative effects of such “cheat days” (that are usually higher in total calories btw) be felt in the short term? Thanks.
