I am asking this out of curiousity. In recent years, my lower back’s lateral mobility, I don’t know if this is a correct term, is reduced. Is it any way to improve it? And does such an improvement have any use?
For your two questions:
Can mobility improve with specific efforts to improve mobility? Sometimes and maybe depending on a number of factors.
Does an improvement have any use? I don’t know. It depends on what you do or why you care I suppose.

I would imagine your ability to bend side to side would improve the more you bend side to side w& w/o a load.
