I recently purchased the Strength III program and wonder if it is possible to modify it to put more focus on the squat. Perhaps by exchanging a deadlift variation to a squat variation, or choosing the user selected exercices wisely?
My total is 220/150/310 (kgs), and I’m a tall 105kg lifter. As you can tell my squat is substantially lower than my deadlift, which is likely due to a lower bodyweight, weak quads/core and better leverages for the deadlift.
I’m not sure if you need more work on your squat for your current level of training, as your deadlift really seems to be an outlier compared to both your squat and bench press. It would be difficult to recommend more volume than is in the program currently without knowing what you were doing before, so my initial recommendation would be to run it as planned. Then, you could replace the 3rd movement on Day 4 with another squat movement. Then later on (3rd run through), you could add more singles to your squat training at 85-93%.
