Medium vs High Protein

Hey Docs,

As a 44 year old male, 6’4 and 90kg. I am currently starting a maintenance phase at 2,566 calories as suggested by Macrofactor. Now if I choose medium protein on both macrofactor and BBM’s macro calculator they both put me about 145g (which puts me at the 1.6g/kg). If I choose high protein about 175.

I imagine it’s probably a matter of personal preference but for someone like me who is going to do a maintenance phase for a little while before starting a surplus to hopefully gain some muscle and is interested in maybe someday competing in Strongman/Highland Games. Which option would you favor I do, medium or high? Or will it really make any difference?

I think both protein levels would produce about the same result. Pick your personal preference!
