Myoreps, Do i do the mini sets more than once per large set?

So i do 15 reps, take like a 10 second break, and then i do around 5 reps. Do i do that 10 second break, then 5 reps again, or do i do another large set, with the smaller rep set afterward?

So
15, 10 second break 5 reps, 10 seconds break 5 reps, 10 second break 4 reps
5 minute break
15, 10 second break 5 reps, 10 seconds break 5 reps, 10 second break 4 reps ’
5 minute break
15, 10 second break 5 reps, 10 seconds break 5 reps, 10 second break 4 reps ’

OR

15, 10 second break 5 reps
5 minute break
15, 10 second break 5 reps
5 minute break
15, 10 second break 4 reps

Finished

Thanks!

Myo reps have 1 “activation set”, the 15 reps, and then the subsequent sets are all the 5 (or less) reps.

The answer to this might be somewhere but I haven’t found it yet. The activation set is 14–16 reps @8. Are the subsequent sets also supposed to be @8 as well? For example, today I did 16, 4, 4, 3. I used @8 to determine that I could do 4, and then had to go down to 3 to keep it @8.

So then do I log it:

16 @8
4 @8
4 @8
3 @8

Sorry if this is a redundant question!

No, don’t worry about the RPE of the back-off sets.

Your first back-off set from the activation set should be somewhere in the 3-5 range. Just keep doing sets of that same rep #, until you fail to hit it. So it may look more like 14 @ 8, 4@7, 4@8, 4@8, 4@9, 3@10 - done.

That makes sense. Thank you!

I’m a little terrified for front squat myoreps on Friday. But it can’t be worse than 3-0-3 tempo squats for 10 @ 7, 10 @ 8, and 10 @ 9, right? Right?!
