Need an advice on program hopping due to slight distal bicep tendonopathy.

Hello, BBM crews.

As I stated above,
I have an issue in my left distal bicep tendonopathy.
I may have been injured by trying too hard in preacher curl on Block 2 even though I did incline curl on Block 1

I tried to change some variables.
I am currently on Bodybuilding ll , week 4, day 4.
Recently I modified [day 4] pulling exercises as 3-0-3.
Plus, I cut the whole curl movements and replaced it with 303 tempo preacher curl 12@8 for 3-4 sets.

But the symptom have not relieved, and the external load have dropped significantly.
My sole goal is to do Bodybuilding-style training, But It doesn’t seem easy to proceed BB template while rule out whole rows and pulls, chins.
I have beginner template, endurance template, BB template.

How about Beginner template phase 2?
I had tried Beginner template phase 1, [day 1], but I wasn’t really satisfied due to the volume of the workout.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom,
you guys rock.

Whoops,

You could do beginner phase 2, or replace 3/4 of the movements in the BB program with tolerable variants. You need to make sure to take enough weight off the bar to make this happen. For the other 1/4 of the variations, I’d skip them for the next 6-weeks or so while you heal up. If you’re not really making any headway, you may benefit from a consult.

Thanks for the suggestion. I decided to finish the beginner template, first.

Because not only left distal tendon, but also right knee, left medial epicondyle bother me, too.(In short, There are aches and pain here and there after I started BB block 2)
I’m going to try Beginner template Block ll and set bicep exercise as tempo 303 preacher curl.

What if preacher curl keep bothering me?
Would 303 tempo incline curl hits distal tendon as well?

I had a consult with derek before due to my right wrist, maybe I’m kinda too sensitive.
I don’t know. :frowning:

I think if you’re not really able to make any progress, I would get a consultation with continued follow-up. It’s not really possible to address all possible scenarios from here.

I’ve done Beginner block 2 for 4 weeks.
Most of the numbers are regressing.
I’m going to try BB block 2 with 6 movement slots removed for 6 weeks. :frowning:
I was certainly wrong, I guess.
