Non-productive stress: local or global?

Dear BBM-crew,

let’s say I’ve been overzealous with my Press and I’ve consistently overshot my RPE on that lift, but not on the other ones. Is that non-productive stress, which I acquired through my pressing, now sabotaging my overall performance or only that of my press / bench press?

There is likely a little bit of both, as they cannot be separated.
