RPE and Non-training Stress

Wassup Docs,
Is the use of RPE essentially a way to control for fatigue such that you can program by manipulating volume, intensity, and frequency without having to worry as much about total stress from non-training sources?
in other words, is the use of RPE a good way to control for non-training stressors.

I’m currently experiencing a lot of stress outside of the gym and have been struggling to make consistent progress. One day I do pretty well and feel strong the next I feel like Its my first time lifting. It has me wondering if I am not providing sufficient stimulus/volume, or if I am accumulating too much fatigue and not recovering properly. So would RPE allow me to increase volume while simultaneously controlling total fatigue during times of high stress outside of the gym.

Just a student tryin to learn, thanks in advance!

Yes, It’s helpful to control for fatigue-induced fluctuation in performance, whether due to training or non-training stress.

Thanks! I was just wanting to make sure I was on the right track on the whole RPE thing. Planning to go for a run on the bridge to get used to RPE training then give my own programming a go using RPE. Party on BBM crew and thanks for the content.
