Not so lovley love handles

Hey everyone as you can see by the topic, what does one do about these love handles i have never been able to get rid of them.
From childhood, military, and crossfit to now they will not give up!!!
What has anyone experienced an what did you do to?
Just a spark of conversation for the masses.

Hey Allen,

could you pls give us more detail about your training history? I got from the other thread you opened that you were advised to run the bridge 3.0.

Did you do that? If not what did you do?

You said: “went from 125 to 170 after huge diet change” <---- Where are we now? Did you do “GOMAD” to go from 125 to 170 and got a lot of fat with it?

where you hold your body fat and where you lose your body fat is a matter of genetics . I would assume that you just haven’t got lean enough yet to get rid of your love handles . It could just be that it’s the last spot you will lose your fat . I know personally I gain fat in my sides and lower back first and it’s always the last spot that I see any difference in .

Love handles are a result of where your body (as in yours specifically) deposits fat. The only way, only way, to get rid of them is diet. How do I know? I have them and it is the last place body fat comes off me. No matter what training you do, it is the diet that is the only way to get rid of them. My previous bodybuilding coach would have shredded arms and veins, and his waist? Love handles, albeit small, but that is the last place his body removed body fat. To get shredded obliques was the last thing that would lean up for him just prior to competition.

There are people who do not have love handles, have a six pack, and no veins in their arms. Same problem, different area, due to different genetics. Again, the only way to see arm veins is diet. Or those who don’t have love handles but have a pot belly. Simply genetics. Or like @Rent who gets fat in his lower back and sides.

And for the record it does not matter what training you did or do, nor does it matter how the love handles got there (GOMAD, eating like a sumo wrestler, or just kept eating as normal post sports at college into the following years), your genetics dictate love handles and you have them.

Actions: if you want to get rid of love handles, you will have to lean down and lose body fat.
