I’m about to move onto Phase 2 of the Beginner Program and I was wondering if there was any other exercise I could do to replace the OHP slot. I’ve had a lot of trouble with technique and find myself just not enjoying it as much as other lifts. I only have access to a barbell, so I can’t do say DB Press. Could I instead do another bench variation? Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks for the response. I was on the Instagram Live yesterday and reflected on why exactly I don’t enjoy pressing. I also looked at some videos of my press I hadn’t looked at before and I’ve found the problem is most likely load. In all honesty, I haven’t really been following the RPE since my sets are all heavy grinds which might also be due to technique, but I should also probably reduce the load. Thanks!
