Small Change to Beginner Program Phase 3

Hey Doctors,

I noticed there was an update to the beginner program so I downloaded it and checked to see what changed. I just started phase 3 and see that you swapped the OHP (sets of 12) for paused bench by default. Was that intended? 12 reps of a paused bench seems like a lot of time under the bar, but I tend not to question your programming since it’s been working so well for me.

I do like separating the three phases into their own Excel sheets; it’s so much easier to navigate!

PS, any update on the app? I missed the beta you ran unfortunately.

The defaults on phase III are really just place-holders because we’d want people to pick the exercises they’d prefer. I don’t see anything special about OHP though in that slot. If it’s me, I’d probably pick dumbbell work if I had access to it.

The app is getting closer. I promise we’ll announce it when it’s ready to go :slight_smile:

Thanks Dr. Feigenbaum. I think I will replace it with dumbbell work, since I rarely use them outside of GPP days.
