I have been standing and walking “duck footed” or with a toes out stance/gait nearly all my life. It had been pointed out to me before, but it has been brought up to me several times recently by a few different people and I am beginning to wonder if it is a real issue. The angle is around 35 degrees, basically the same as my squat stance. I don’t have any abnormal pains/aches, and I am curious as to whether this is actually something I should worry about. A Google search for treatment includes a ton of “corrective” and “functional” exercises, none of which I would assume would be terribly useful. I have no physical abnormalities that I am aware of or that have been pointed out by a physician. My questions are: if I were to attempt to correct this, would it be like correcting posture and I would just need to be consciously aware and voluntarily turn my toes inward? Also, should I even worry about it? Thank you for your time, I appreciate the work you guys do!
It sounds like you’re fine, and that there’s nothing to correct here. Ignore all these people.
Carry on!
