Hello Dr. Jordan Feigenbaum and/or Dr. Austin Baraki,
Yesterday I was doing Paused Bench press, and my right shoulder started to hurt in the front-top area. Strangely, it only hurt within the first inch of the ROM, and only occurred for the first rep and the racking portion of the set (after the last rep). I have not changed my form on Bench Press since ~3 months ago (I use a more narrow grip), and there doesn’t really seem to be other outside factors that could be affecting it. It is very weird because after the initial descent of the first rep, it felt good until I racked the weight. Is there a possible reason this is happening that you can think of?
