Pain while squatting

Hey docs!

There is this sharp pain at the area above my left pectineus muscle during the descending portion of the squat and my right leg is completely fine. I primarily use the high bar squat and I have tried varying my stance width and how much I angle my feet out but the pain still persists. The pain usually goes away after a few days of rest but it comes back when I squat again. Do you guys have any idea why is this happening?

On a side note, I’m currently a 4th year medical student and I was wondering how did you guys manage to train during your intern year? The immense amount of workload and ungodly work hours plus fatigue must’ve been tough to train.

Thanks a lot guys!

Sorry man, difficult to assess your squat (or your programming) this way. Have you listened to our standard management approach for pain and injury on our podcast?

And yes, training wasn’t easy as an intern, but you’ll find a way if it’s important to you.
