Hey Drs. I’ve been on LP since August, and have been squatting since 9/11. I’ve developed patellar tendon pain that makes it very painful to stand from a sitting position, or vice versa. It’s less painful when I push through my toes/balls of the feet, both in the gym and out, though there’s no pain if the knees aren’t extending or flexing under load, and aren’t tender to the touch (but it does hurt if I sit with them flexed for too long). Any idea of some things I can do at home to help, outside of being seen in clinic?
Have you gotten your form checked?
Are you doing any other physical activities / sports activities outside the gym?
