Hello Dr.Jordan and Austin,
I am currently running PB3 and about to enter into the peaking block (block 3). I was wondering if it is OK to keep in supplemental exercises from the previous block as well as upper back and arms GPP as I am currently on a calorie surplus and want to keep pushing my muscles to induce growth. Would this take away from my one rep max testing at the end? Thank you for your help.
Yea, I think there’s a significant risk that continuing the GPP stuff at the level they were programmed at would compromise strength realization. I would recommend running the program as written for the peaking block. If testing 1RM’s isn’t super important to you, you could just skip the peaking block and start the template over again. That’d be fine too if you really wanted to prioritize hypertrophy and keep doing the accessory work.

Hello Dr.Jordan,
Thank you for the reply.
I have about 16 weeks before I start fasting for religious reasons for 4 weeks (Ramadan) and thus can’t train as hard.
Would you recommend finishing block 2, then restarting the program from block one and seeing it through to the end, leading me to max out right before I start fasting? Then I can take the fasting time to pivot / train hypertrophy for 4 weeks before shifting back into a strength-focused template like LFS.
Yep, that would be an excellent plan. Great idea!
