Hey - I’ve taken pre-workout and creatine supplements for a long time, but after I got into your podcast, I bought a tub of Peri RX. It gave me the tingling sensation, which I can deal with, but the bigger problem was that it also made me nauseous for about an hour after I took it. That affected my training and made it hard to time my pre-workout meals, so I stopped taking.
Any tips for overcoming this nauseousness? I would love to move to Peri RX permanently to support the brand, but I’m not sure what might be causing the nauseousness or how I can combat it.
Thanks for all you do!
Sorry to hear about that, as this is pretty interesting. I assume you’re taking the caffeinated version and are eating about 60-90 minutes beforehand, yes? What happens if you take half the dose?
This happened to me when I first started Peri Rx. I train first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and I eat as soon as I’m finished lifting. The nausea wasn’t every day and it stopped all together after about 2 weeks.
Had similar experience with trying peri-rx (minus nausea). symptoms were tolerable though. Did aggravate my GERD something fierce and had to stop after trying for a few days. Any recommendations of other reputable brands of creatine that don’t have other ingredients? Am a regular whey subscriber and template customer, hate having to go to another brand, but needs something that agrees with my body…
