Hey Doc,
I am just coming off of your powerbuilding 1 program which I really enjoyed. I’m trying to decide between running the strength 1 or hypertrophy 1 template. My long term goal is both strength and size in equal proportion. I know the obvious answer is to run powerbuilding 2 but I’d like to switch things up a bit. Do you have any guidance in picking a next template (hypertrophy, strength or a different template)? Do you have a preference for running hypertrophy before strength or vice versa?
For background I am a 19 year old male, six feet tall and I weigh 181 lbs. I’ve been seriously training for one year now.
Lift PR’s: (long way to go here)
Squat: 285 @ RPE 10
One count paused bench: 205 @ RPE 9
Deadlift: 295 @ RPE 7
Press: 115 @ RPE 8
