Hello Drs.
I am a night lifter. I lift between 7-9pm, almost always after dinner unless i get done early with work. After lifting, I take a protein shake and go to bed. Is this ok practice from the standpoint of maintaining/gaining strength? Should i be eating a bowl of cereal or something in addition to the shake so my muscles can feed while I sleep? I am 35 and dont really want to add to my waistline, so im hesitant to do this especially since i eat a good sized dinner usually.
