Powerbuilding 1 vs Powerbuilding 2

Hi there

I have been training with Barbell Medicine programs for about a year previously, but have been out of the gym for a while during the summer and some of the pandemic.
Programs I ran: The Bridge, Strength 1, Powerbuilding 1, Hypertrophy 2.
I have never really been that strong (trying to change that), but my lifts have been a bit higher than they are currently.

My stats
Gender: Male
Age: 24 years
Height: 6’ 2"
Weight: 170 lbs - currently trying to gain weight with 3200 calories pr. day.
Waist: 32’’

My lifts nearing the end of The Bridge, single @ RPE ~9:
Squat: 265 lbs
Bench: 176 lbs
OHP: 115 lbs
Deadlift: 315 lbs

After starting training again this summer, I have run the Beginner Template and am currently finishing up The Bridge 3.0. I think I want to run one of the updated Powerbuilding templates, since I want to both get stronger and build muscle.

I have a preference for PB2, since I like being in the gym and training 4 days pr. week, and I think that PB2 generally looks more fun than PB1.

So my question is if I would see as good or better results running PB2 over PB1, or if it is too much volume for me, and I would probably make better progress on PB1?

Thank you very much!

I think you’d tolerate PB2 fine, but I think PB1 would give you better results. You could split it up over 4 days if that works better for you.

Really appreciate the response!

Splitting PB1 up over 4 days sounds like a pretty good solution. Will try and do that

Thanks for all the great content you guys put out
