So my primary sport is powerlifting, but around 9 months ago, I started to do calisthenics as a side and not just for conditioning, but I’m practicing to achieve moves, i.e., ring muscle-up achieved and currently going for the iron cross. All that aside, my main question is how much will it affect my recovery for powerlifting? My friend teaching me calisthenics noticed I need more deloads for calisthenics because I also do powerlifting, but how would that affect my recovery for barbell training?
