Press template RPE confusion

I am currently using the press template. After performing the 1@8 I take the prescribed percentage off of the bar and perform the prescribed sets x reps. All of the sets end up at RPE 7. Is this correct or should the intensity be higher?

If you are hitting 1@8, taking the prescribed percentage off the bar, and doing the prescribed number of sets and reps, you are doing it correctly. You aren’t supposed to be grinding. Keep going.
