I’m almost forty-five and have been strength training for four years now. This past year hasn’t seen much progress, and I’m sure it’s due to a number of factors, but could one of the factors be not getting enough protein? I’m currently getting 0.8 grams per pound of body weight. I believe that’s the current recommendations, correct? Does that need to be adjusted as I get older?
I think you may benefit from reading these two articles by Dr F:

In the first one you will find a nice little table with recommendations for protein intake.
