I posted this question in the Facebook group, but figured I ought to repost it here as well. Not sure if this is the best forum for it necessarily.
The topic of “psychological stress” comes up often when discussing illness, recovery, training adaptations, etc. While obviously a very complex issue, what are your favorite resources for better managing psychological stress overload? What are some of the best bang for your buck interventions/lifestyle changes/etc. to help with this? (Obvious ideas that come to mind include sleep, mental health therapy and medication, getting a new job/changing work hours.)
This topic is on my mind due to recent illness problems (I’ve posted about on here) and I am starting to believe that managing psychological stress is something much more important than I had ever considered. I’d be interested to hear what your thoughts are here, again understanding that it’s a complicated topic without much context.
