so stan recommends 3, 10 minute walks daily and says they are shown to be more effective than getting 10,000 steps, which is how I make sure im active outside the gym. is there any evidence to back this up? And my second question is does cooked and cooled rice really have half the calories? Also congrats to the BBM crew on being featured in the 3.0 version.
I’m not familiar with data suggesting 3- 10 minute walks (equating to < 10K steps) is better than getting 10K steps per day. Rather, the bulk of the data shows that provided you’re accumulating activity in as short as 5 minute bouts, you’re good.
I would advise working towards the 150-300 minutes of 500-1000 met-minute activity per week in whatever fashion that looks like for you.
I don’t know if cooled rice has less calories than cooked rice that hasn’t been cooled. Perhaps based on mass, but I can’t be sure.
Stan is a good dude. It was great having him at our seminar.
