Read the belt related threads and got a final question....

Ok, read through the various belt related threads and homed in on the Pioneer Fitness options.

I’ve used the buckle belts before “back in the day”, but the lever belts look interesting. Figure that’s just a personal preference thing, so I’ll give them a try.

My waist size is right in the middle of the small, so that’s easy.

Question is the 10mm vs 13mm.

Docs say 10mm for most, 13mm for competition as a general rule.

The Pioneer basic 10mm lever option in my size is out. But the 13mm is available.

What am I trading here? Does it really matter? I assume it’ll be a little stiffer, but is there any reason to not get the 13mm over waiting for the 10mm even though I have no intent of competing?

It’s mostly personal preference. Yes, 13mm is stiffer than 10mm. I prefer 13mm personally, but then again, I’ve been competing for the better part of 15 years now. It won’t kill you to wear a 13mm belt, but it will require a bit more break in than a 10mm.
