Realization / Test Week Schedule

Hi guys,

so my program comes to an end this week and I’ve got a question regarding the schedule. I realized that the the plan reduced from 4 to 3 days on the last week but is it supposed to be in the form of e.g.

  • Mo: Workout 1
  • Tue: Workout 2
  • Wed: off
  • Thu: off
  • Fri: Test Day

or more like:

  • Mo: Workout 1
  • Tue: off
  • Wed: Workout 2
  • Thu: off
  • Fri: Test Day

In the grand scheme of things it might not matter all that much but I’d rather do it the way it’s intended as I can see both options having viable arguments. The first schedule would technically allow for more rest but the second schedule would provide practice of the lifts closer to the test day.

Hello! You are correct, and it’s not a wildly important detail, however, we’d prefer the first option. And keep in mind that by this point the programming/your training, you HAVE skill, so the practice closer to the test usually doesn’t add much expect maybe some fatigue. So unless you have some previous testing data on what works/doesn’t, I’d go with option 1 this time!
