Recovery from MCL sprain - when to add loaded movement

Doctors,

I am recovering from a grade 2 MCL sprain I suffered 2.5 weeks ago. I saw a sports PT last Monday and was given a set of exercises to do every day. My next appointment isn’t until next week. At this point, I’m walking normally (or very close to it) and have full ROM (or very close). Bodyweight squats are no problem. Would it be safe to ease back into loaded squats and deadlifts at this point even though I’m not 100% recovered?

Seems reasonable to me.
