Ring finger swelling

A few months ago while doing heavy singles on deadlifts somehow my ring finger got “sprained”. I say sprained because there was bruising and swelling. I continued training no problem. No pain was present. The swelling went down and things were fine.
I am on week three of the beginner template and it seems the volume may be aggravating that area again. It’s now too swollen to put my wedding ring on. Still no pain but it is starting to affect my grip strength. I think anyway.
Is this a don’t worry about it thing or a go get it checked by someone thing?

Sorry to hear about your finger! Without seeing it and evaluating it in person it’s tough to diagnose anything from here. I think it’s reasonable to seek medical consultation if you’re concerned and have lost some strength in the hand. On the other hand (pun intended), I might consider holding off if I still had full ROM, and was still able to do all of my training and activities of daily life.

I figured that would be the case, I do appreciate your response! It’s otherwise fine - no pain, no ROM issues,I’ll see how it shakes out for a couple more weeks. Thanks again!
