Finger Pain

Hi, I have been getting pain/soreness and occasional stiffness in my Index and middle finger (mcp, pip joints) on my right hand for around two weeks now and I’m not sure what’s causing it or how to resolve it. It’s not enough to limit my day to day life, work, or lifting in any significant way but is still pretty uncomfortable. I havn’t had an increase in training volume in a long time, and work load has actually decreased lately. It seems worse when I first get up and get better as the day progresses, specifically after lifting. And thoughts on cause and/or an approach to rehab the pain or is it just something I have to wait out and see if it resolves on its own?

Unfortunately we don’t have a ton of information to go on here, so I don’t think we can give many specific recommendations outside of our usual advice for managing routine aches and pains.

As with most things, there’s a good chance that this resolves on its own over time, but if not (or if it continues to worsen), we’d be happy to consult with you, or you might get it checked out locally.

It has gotten a decent chunk better already since posting this so I imagine some just some more time and it should be all good. Thanks!
