Hi Guys,
I am currently doing the Beginner Template and have been loving the program. My goals are to continue to gain muscle and strength and after the beginner template, I most likely will do strength 1 or powerbuilding.
My question however is how would you recommend running a 1.5 mile run in 10 minutes? According to the internet lol… This is not a challenging feat however to me that is something i would like to accomplish and I think it would be a nice goal for cardio despite my main priority being lifting.
So all this to say how would you recommend training throughout the week to attain this goal?

Happy to hear you’re loving the Beginner Template. That’s awesome!
In the template, there’s a decent amount of conditioning that’s programmed. I think performing some of that conditioning as running would be well-tolerated and help you achieve your goal without really having to do anything special or compromise your resistance-training goals. Same thing for Strength 1 and Powerbuilding 1.
To summarize, I would start out by doing some of the conditioning work as running. Over time, you can gradually do more of the conditioning as running as you become more accustomed to it. I do not think you are likely to need additional conditioning and/or specialized programming to meet your goals, but we’ll know more after a few months of trying.
